“So the focus project is my sixth book, and, ironically, is the anti-venom to my first book. So thanks, social dynamics, I’m sitting here going, how has social media changed the way we live and do business, I’m saying you’ve got to get into these tools, you’re going to be left behind if you’re not in these tools. So then I see everyone go way too far to their phones. They go whoa, everybody, let’s pull back. Let’s pull back. Let’s pull back on the screen time here. And obviously gasoline on the fire we think about the pandemic. So I was sitting there every night, my hair was on fire, and all you entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs are listening will really appreciate this. Every night I’d go to bed my hair felt like I was on fire. I said alright, tomorrow, that’s not going to be the case. Then rinse wash repeat happened again. Yeah. So sit there go wait. I’m kind of I’m an author. I own a small company animation studio. I control my own destiny, so to speak, because I’m the owner. And if my hair’s on fire, everyone else’s must be really on fire. Yeah. How does my team feel? Yeah. So I started asking everybody from school teachers to CEOs, and everyone’s in the same boat. So I’m like, alright, that’s a big problem. Everyone can’t focus on the big, they’re all focused on the busy. So that’s why I did the two year project to really figure those two years because the first year was five attempts and failing. Literally, I’d go Alright, I’m going to focus on one thing a month, just to see how powerful it is. And I’m gonna read all these books out there for the last 100 years on how to do this. And whether it’s true or whether it’s not. That’s what we want to test what works and what doesn’t work. And so that was the whole that’s why it was a project. It was a focused project for myself, but I also knew that other people would be fascinated to know what can help me focus on the big versus the busy. How do I make sure my hair’s not on fire?”
