“For our listeners out there that want to kind of become like you, what’s the best piece of advice that you can give them?”

“Absolutely. So when I started doing photography, I was shooting with so many people so consistently, that I grew quicker than I’d say any other photographer in Chicago, I was basically doing five to 10 photoshoots per week, over the course of like, two to three years, before I really got big, you know, before I got a really big following and got my work known to the point where I could go out to LA, and people trusted working with me. So you definitely got to be consistent, too, I would say, do it, because you enjoy it, you’re always going to work harder at something that you enjoy. And that is, you know, one of the biggest things if you’re just doing something for the if you’re only doing it to, you know, get fame or money, then you’re not going to be as motivated as if you enjoy doing what you’re doing every single day.

And then three, I would say like, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, like everyone, everyone has excuses, there’s always going to be an excuse for why you can’t do something. And if you let that way of thinking take over, you’ll never do anything. Because, you know, I actually just kind of got a quote from David Goggins who, you know, made a book can’t hurt me and about all the things that he does. He said, most people only achieve, most people only work to their talents. Like they only work up to the point of their natural talent. And you see a lot of people drop off and not try to think past what they’re naturally gifted at. Because that’s when it gets hard. That’s when it gets to a mental game, as opposed to like, a physical or natural talent game. And so, you know, there were points where like, I thought I wasn’t good enough at photography, or that I wouldn’t be able to make it out to LA. But I just kept pushing. And eventually, I was able to do what a lot of people were not able to do. And it was just because I was willing to push past my natural talent, and mentally get to where I needed to go.”
