Super U Podcast | Have Fun, Help People: Navigating Change with Humanity and AI
Today we’re reposting an interview, Human Intelligence In An AI World hosted by Rob Lauber and powered by PepTalk. Erik and Rob dig into why co-intelligence is the future, not artificial intelligence alone. Erik explains his “Jetsons and Flintstones” concept, his “STAMP” framework for digital leadership, strategies for focusing on “big” versus “busy” work, and the mindset shift needed to be a disruptor rather than the disrupted. Together, they break down the hype, confront ethical challenges, and offer practical advice for leaders and organizations trying to stay ahead, without getting too far ahead of their market.

“I call it ‘co-intelligence.’ I think ‘artificial intelligence’ is actually a bad name. Like you said, you first reach out to your coworkers, and then you tap into co-intelligence to get different ideas and perspectives. But honestly, I still get my best ideas from coffees and lunches with people. More and more, though, after those coffees and lunches, I’ll also dive into our co-intelligence tools to see what they’re saying and then combine the two. That blend makes a lot of sense… From our research, we wanted to understand what stands the test of time. Technology changes every second; human nature doesn’t. Leaders can’t predict the future, but they can design it—by practicing the right habits.
When we started the research, we didn’t know whether we’d find three habits or fifteen. It turned out there are five common habits among leaders thriving in the digital era—and now as we move into the quantum era. Together they form the acronym STAMP, which is a quick way to remember them.
- S – Simplify. Strip things down so you can go further, faster.
- T – True. Stay true to yourself; keep your true north and don’t just chase every new technology.
- A – Action. Don’t be afraid to act. Take the step, fail fast, fail forward, fail better. I call it being “flawsome.”
- M – Map. Have a firm destination but stay flexible on the path you take to get there. That’s the big shift.
- P – People. Surround yourself with the right people—both offline and online.
Focus on the one where you’re strongest and go deep, but keep all five in mind.”
